Welcome to James Nash Racing

A leading dual-purpose trainer based on the renowned Curragh in Kildare, ‘the beating heart of Irish racing’. The team at Bernard Lodge strives to give our owners and horses the very best opportunities for success.

A talented and successful amateur jockey, James Nash began his racing education at his family home in Kilcornan, Co Limerick where his father kept a few point-to-pointers. During school holidays, James rode out for Limerick trainer Eric McNamara and from there he graduated to working for the internationally acclaimed Dermot Weld. After losing his claim while apprenticed to the Master of Rosewell House, James turned his focus to the National Hunt sphere and allied himself with the trainer who would go on to rewrite the history books of jumps racing – Willie Mullins.

James Nash is based at Bernard Lodge on the edge of the Curragh, one of the most fabled locations in the international racing world.
